Did you want to include a link on the first point? I don’t see any link to PR Backlink Generator software. I know you are not talking about comment kahuna in that point because you mention it’s ‘portable’.
Comment Kahuna is okay, I prefer Fast Blog Finder though.

I’m not an IT guy, not by a long shot, so I’ve really had trouble checking backlinks. You read all the time about how important they are, but till today I never really knew how to look for them. Commenthakuna looks promising, I hope it will help me and those like me (IT-illiterate

It might help people to adapt at first but I think at some point you need to stop usin those kind of tools and just start doing everything yourself – you’ll have a lot more control over things this way.

In Google: Webmaster tools is the best way to check the backlinks of a website.
In Yahoo : Use Yahoo site explorer to check the backlinks.

You can also just buy or get fat lists of do-follow blogs and comment on them manually.

Most of PR backlink generator only search for no follow backlink from wordpress, not good for google.
