If you have dead domains with keyword on it, perhaps you should consider to build simple website and flip it. You will realize how easy to earn more money from the dead domain buy flipping the newly built site. I’m trying to flip the website with this technique since 3 months ago but never really falling into the business because of my busy study.
My first flip was arcade game website which only need 2 hours to set it live. Using the free script and free games package, I got $30 for 2 hours work. I am using my dead domain which has keyword “game” on it, install the script and upload the files.
My other flips using my dead domain is my image hosting site. I purchased the domain from webmaster forum for only $3. I installed the script (free of course), and create the thread on Digital Point forum. Only need 30 minutes of my time and I earned quick $20 from it.
Beside using turnkey scripts, you can flip your dead domain and create content-rich site or blog. However, you need more efforts to do this, but believe me, you will earn more. With this method, I have already sold 3 blogs with 5-10 unique articles. Price range is somewhere between $50-$70 for each blog. Perhaps you need one full day to create one site or even more.
Here are the steps to convert your “almost dead” domains into more money:
1. Collect your unwanted domains, make a list from them. Separate the domains with keywords.
2. Choose one of them. I believe every keyword has its own gem.
3. From the keyword, find one simple idea how to build the site from that domain. It can be using simple turnkey script or using content-rich method to create a blog. Then decide which one will you use.
4. Don’t think too much, just start your work. Find the free turnkey script or use free wordpress theme for your blog.
5. Make a new thread on DP forum or listing on Sitepoint. If you are not in a rush, you can expect high price. But don’t oversell your newly site because other webmasters know the value of your site. Lower price will attract more potential buyers.

Very good information if one build more links to the site this would be a good selling point. One question can it be a .info or .net website as well or should it only be .com?
