I have installed Firefox recently and i have never faced any such problem with my spell check as more into abbreviation when it comes to typing it really requires me to check my post before posting and i have been happily posting an error free post as its by default my wrong spellings get red underlined.

hii rishab… this is really useful information. spell check option is very important tool and useful also. With spell check we will be able to write in internet explorer without a spelling mistake. now there is no need to check the spelling in word we are in doubt about a spelling… good post….

I think that it is a default option in Firefox to check spelling. I had this option enabled automatically. I think that more interesting issue would be spell check for other languages. To do that you need to download a dictionary compatible with language you wish to speak. To do that just click right mouse button on written text and use “Languages/add dictionary”, Firefox will open new window from Mozilla site and show a list of accessible dictionaries. The download is compiled with installation. The files are not large (from 16 kB to about 3 MB).
