How to increase your RSS Subscribers

One of my reader emailed me and asked “How can I increase my RSS subscribers” so I am writing an article on it. You can also contact me if you need any advice or you have any problem..
Okay lets start now on How to increase your RSS Subscribers 
Tip 1) Installing the “What Would Seth Godin Do” on your wordpress blog
This is one of my favorite plugin for wordpress it adds a text under all your blog post “If you are new here, you may subscribe to my RSS feed!” so basically it helps a lot in increasing your subscriber. I have it here on my blog too.
Tip 2) Contests
Contests help a lot in increasing your RSS subscribers. Just start a simple contest and keep a condition to subscribe your RSS feed to be in the contest. This is another trick which many bloggers use.
Tip 3) Catchy RSS Buttons
I’m sure you must have seen many cool RSS feed buttons using them pull attention of visitors and they subscribe to your blog.

A great way of increasing your RSS subscriber is to produce great content that will make your visitors return to your blog. Using large orange RSS button also helps. People who wants to subscribe will look for this button.This is because orange is the universally recognized for RSS feeds.

Good ways to increase subscribers!
Contests may play a major role to increase rss subscribers from all those three options. Pet care gave a good tip too, writing content can help us but writing good content is hard unless we have passion for it. Orange color may get our attention towards it but may not help in getting visitors without good content.
One more way is giving away free stuff, that most of the bloggers are doing to get more subscribers.I have seen one guy create hype for about 1 or 2 weeks about his new ebook and attracted so many subscribers. So, creating hype also works a little bit.

Those are some cool ideas to improve your Rss subscribers. I like the cool images tip, the Seth Godin plugin will work well but for newbies you should explain what that plugin is. Also replying back to their emails, offering unique contents will also help.

A great source of free really cool icons, including RSS, social networking, and related stuff is Smashing Magazine. Every week they offer up new stuff, and if you have any ability with Photoshop or another image editing package, you can customize the freebies to make them totally yours.

Some great tips – Providing up to date posts about free stuff, special offers, discount codes etc. can encourage people to subscribe to your RSS – so they don’t miss out on any cool free stuff

Most important one is to add a email subscription box at the bottom of each post. It better to do all manually rather than using some other plugin. Integrating is easy. Most of the subscribers are email readers. I too need to put subscription box on my blog
